Annette studied at the Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam, after completing HTS Architecture in Groningen and working in the north of Holland for a number of years. In 2009 she joined Meyer & Van Schooten Architects. Here she mainly worked on transformation projects, including MORE apartments, the University Library at the University of Amsterdam and the Prinsengracht Hospital.

Annette is fascinated by cultural heritage and its significance in architecture. Her graduation project was nominated for the Archiprix 2018. She has been working as an Architect for Team V since 2017, focusing on design competitions. Currently she’s responsible for the renovation of Neuron Education Centre TU/e.
